Job Summary:
- Creative, out-of-the-box thinker to design and build innovative and engaging training with government-standard educational techniques.
- Apply ISD knowledge for the professional development of civilian mariners and/or other active and reserve military personnel, both afloat and ashore, including curricula design, development, evaluation, and modification.
- Collaborate with AISG and Military Sealift Command (MSC) employees, subject matter experts, consultants, and representatives to ensure that services performed meet AISG and MSC contractual requirements and standards.
- Communicate professionally, clearly, and directly with stakeholders, customers, and team.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or instructional systems development (or similar).
- 10 years’ experience in military, or similar, training systems development.
- 5 years’ experience in computer-based training, interactive simulation, and/or video curriculum development.
- 5 years’ experience facilitating design sessions to gain detailed insight on learning requirements.
- 2 years’ experience with training development tools (e.g., Storyline, Captivate).
- 5 years’ experience with MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
- Graphic design experience a plus.
- Security Clearance – Secret Level (or eligibility for a Secret level clearance).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work within a remote and distributed team structure.
Job Responsibilities (not all-inclusive):
- Manage the process of updating/creating materials required for the presentation of existing/new courses to ensure classes are up-to-date and reflect U.S. Navy and MSC policy/procedure.
- Request and process regular updates to curricula using Curriculum Change Request (CCR) form and procedures.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Work independently to design and develop end-to-end training or performance support solutions across multiple platforms.
- Apply knowledge of learning theory, the principles of adult learning, and the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) model to develop and revise instructional materials.

Travel:
Position requires up to 8 weeks travel per year. Successful candidate will be available to travel in the US and upon request to military bases and classroom locations as needed. All contracted approved expenses are covered by the contract and daily per diem paid to employee is tax free.
